It was chance, luck, a fairy tale, call it what you will, but a combination of circumstances enabled Mélody. Johner, a young Swiss rider, to meet Tout Bleu, a French thoroughbred, and take part in her first Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. The results were unexpected. Thanks to her atypical profile, Mélody can now dream of a medal at the Paris Olympics in July 2024. His encounter with Tout Bleu turned his life upside down, and involved the whole team at the Chalet-à-Gobet family riding school in Lausanne in the crazy waltz of a year’s preparation for the most prestigious of competitions, between joy, doubt, fear and sacrifice.
